Yes, of course, I’m talking about “War Room.” What other movie could I possibly be talking about on this level?

  • Provident FilmsWar Room’ is a 2015 American Christiandrama filmdirected by  Alex Kendrickand cowritten and produced by his brother Stephen Kendrick. This film reaffirms the core teaching known by just a handful that prayer needs to be staged and prepared for much like combat does in a military ‘War Room‘ environment where life and death can hang in the balance.Of course, nobody saw me shed a tear [at least not those who weren’t in my row.]”Kendrick brothers, you are wrong for that! Here’s the scene: Its time for you to fight Elizabeth. Its time for you to fight THE REAL ENEMY You gotta love it! At least I did but what is all of this “War Room” stuff about anyway? Man, you’re asking all of the great questions! My friend, it is about prayer, open communication between you and the one who made you. No silly, not your parents; God, your creator and sustainer! The War Room is about opening up and keeping clear and free lines of communication between you and Jesus Christ our Lord as your savior and redeemer. It is about having the barracks of your heart and soul in constant connection with headquarters.   from “WAR ROOM” …. My friend, could it be my that the reason that so many of our lives might look like ‘war torn’ battle grounds demolished by enemy tactics is because so very few of us regularly spend time in the ‘War Room?”“What a friend we have in Jesus, all our sins and griefs to bear! O what peace we often forfeit, O what needless pain we bear, all because we do not carry everything to God in prayer.” My friend, could it be that prayer, to be brutally honest is not something that most of us really seem to make much time for or tend to practice much in today’s times [unless of course, there is a declared state of national or personal emergency?]Could we be honest about most of our churches? In fact, if you ran a survey throughout most churches today you would discover that the PRAYER SERVICE is the least participated service of the entire church! This fact, just goes to show us how desperately in trouble we are and how much we have fallen. On one occasion, his disciples had seen his own lifestyle, passion and power of his prayers and they asked him to teach them how to pray. Look at Jesus’ personal instruction to them that still serves as a powerful model today:”And when you pray, you shall not be like the hypocrites. For they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the corners of the streets, that they may be seen by men. Assuredly, I say to you, they have their reward.8“Therefore do not be like them. For your Father knows the things you have need of before you ask Him. 9In this manner, therefore, pray:       Hallowed be Your name.       Your will be done       11Give us this day our daily bread.         12And forgive us our debts,         As we forgive our debtors.       For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.16 “Moreover, when you fast, do not be like the hypocrites, with a sad countenance. For they disfigure their faces that they may appear to men to be fasting. Assuredly, I say to you, they have their reward. 17But you, when you fast, anoint your head and wash your face, 18so that you do not appear to men to be fasting, but to your Father who is in the secret place; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly.Text “prayerpower” 40691 Prayer then, is nothing something to just read about or talk about. It’s something to practice on a regular basis.Yes, we need to invite God into our lives through prayer and get his divine intervention employed in our war like scenarios. However, he won’’ come in unless we invite him.“God I cant make it without YOU! I NEED YOU to show up and show out in my life. God, I’m tired and exhausted from doing my thing…..please forgive me, wash me, clean me up, demonstrate your power in my life…. And have your way!”If you would like to join the “Joshua Generation” in our online prayer meetings held on the first three days of every month [1st, 2nd and 3rd] please do the following and we’ll get you the information you need.Text “WarRoom” 40691 There are no numbers missing.”

  • We meet ONLINE for prayer @ 530am central on the 1st, 2nd and 3rd of each month.
  • Brother s and sisters, you owe it to yourself to make prayer a very essential part of your lifestyle on both a personal and public level. “War Room” has inspired me to take my own prayer ministry a lot more seriously. I sure hope you go out of your way to watch it and share it with others who may be inspired in this areas as I have been on a personal level.
  • Prayer then, is our invite to God. Prayer is our humble request. It is our saying to him,
  • The movie “War Room” teaches us that whether you are experiencing battle ground fatigue in your marriage, relationships, finances, health or just life in general; the solution is the same; we need to PRAY!
  • Ladies and gentlemen, let’s face it; we can have all of the teaching and instruction in the world about prayer but if we don’t ‘drop down’ on our knees to practice it, it’s all for naught.
  • To
  • To Hear A Message About How You Go To Higher Ground By Applying This Prayer Model In Your Own Life:
  • 14“For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. 15But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.
  •        13And do not lead us into temptation,         But deliver us from the evil one.
  •        On earth as it is in heaven.
  •        10Your kingdom come.
  •        Our Father in heaven,
  • 6But you, when you pray, go into your room, and when you have shut your door, pray to your Father who is in the secret place; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly. 7And when you pray, do not use vain repetitions as the heathen do. For they think that they will be heard for their many words.
  • MATTHEW 6:5-18
  • Consider this, our Lord Jesus himself, was a man of very passionate prayer wasn’t he? Now, if Jesus prayed as much as he did as ‘the only begotten Son of God,’ then why wouldn’t we?
  • It’s critical that you get this. How could it be that perhaps the most ESSENTIAL ministry in the church is also the most NEGLECTED ministry at the same time?
  • § We’ve ADDED a few PROGRAMS § But we’ve DELETED so much PRAYER!
  • Tragically, this lack of prayer is not just limited to a personal level. We even find a lack of prayer in most congregations. Yes, sadly the very places that should be “houses of prayer” very seldom are.
  • [written by Joseph M. Scriven / composed by Charles Crozat Converse]
  • What a privilege to carry everything to God in prayer!
  • Do you remember the old lyrics from the hymnal that you would probably here sung from time to time but not nearly as much now?

  • Personally speaking, here’s what I’ve found to be true about prayer. Prayer is our surest pathway to higher ground. It is our 24-7 hotline to get in touch with headquarters, particularly the commander in chief of all of our human affairs. In my opinion, prayer makes us stand up a little bit taller seeing that we will never be any taller than when we are on our knees in prayer.
  • Its time for you to TAKE OFF THE GLOVES and DO IT.”
  • Its time for you to fight for your marriage
  • “You need to do your fighting in prayer. And you need to kick the real enemy out of your home …. with the word of God!
  • What was my favorite part of the “War Room?” Great question. It’s really hard to say because there were so many great parts but there is this one part when the seasoned, wise prayer warrior and widow, Miss Clara Williams [played by Karen Abercrombie] speaks heart and soul staring into the eyes of Elizabeth Jordan, a discouraged wife, mother and professional realtor who has all but lost faith [played by Priscilla Shirer] and it sort of kind of gave me that feeling that you might have gotten when you first saw “Rocky” running up the endless set of steps right before his big fight!
  • Okay I’ll tell you. There were so many powerful parts in the movie. In fact, the movie as a whole demonstrated the Kendrick’s ‘spiritual giftedness’ in pulling out every emotion there is in a man out of him in public and in the most embarrassing way possible.”
  • This dynamic, classic is the 5th film produced by the Kendrick brothers but their very first project produced through their own Kendrick Brothers Productions.

What’s Trending with Women With Gifts: Pray With Us

Pray with us.. A lot of times when things get hard we tend to ask other people to pray for us which is perfectly fine, but it’s time that we stand up to our issues and pray over them. We, as believers have become too relaxed in asking and telling others to pray over our situations and we forget about the power that God has given us. Here’s two scriptures that proves that not only does God hear us when we pray he gives us the desires of our heart.

Psalm 37:4 Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart.

Proverbs 15:29 The Lord is far from the wicked, but he hears the prayer of the  righteous.

In April 2014, myself and Women With Gifts started hosting our Monday Morning Conference Call prayer in order to reach other people, other women that needed prayer and was really going through something-like turmoil, trials, and tribulations. We pray EVERY SINGLE MONDAY rain, sleet or snow and even on holidays and we’ve done so for over a year.

We want to thank everyone in advance for joining us every Monday on our prayer conference call. This prayer is hosted by Women With Gifts and lead by our founder LaNette Kincaid but our prayer is NOT just for women. Our goal with this prayer is to heal our nation, build and encourage God people with emphasis on our women, and also take back the MONDAY that people have deemed to be the worst day of the week. Join our conference call prayer every Monday at 6am cst|7am est by calling 712-775-7400 access code 513886# ATTENTION: International callers are welcome to this call use this timezone converter in order to join our prayer at 6am cst.presenting (1)

Spiritual Warfare

Spiritual Warfare is a subject that I believe takes years to understand so I encourage you to study it yourselves so that you too can equip yourselves appropriately. Spiritual Warfare is taking a stand against the evil in this world. It began in Heaven when God kicked Satan out of Heaven to Earth then to Hell. Then later Jesus was given to us humans as our protector and savior from evil forces. When He ascended to Heaven after being crucified on the cross, He left us with the Holy Spirit, the comforter. The Holy Spirit dwells in each and every one of us. We don’t have to go looking for the Spirit, all we have to do is accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, we will obtain the Holy Spirit. Now feeling the Holy Spirit move in you is where the work comes in. That work is studying the Word of God and walking in the way of the Lord which is something we have to do daily. The devil uses many tricks to tempt us away from God. He tempts us with luxuries, material gains, jealousy, lies, a host of things that will cause us to not act righteously in the eyes of the Lord. The biggest tool the devil can use against us is ourselves. We are our own worst enemy. If you truly knew how much God loved you, if you really knew and believed His love for you, you would do what Jesus did on that mountain and deny the devil entry into your soul. You have to resist the devil but you can’t resist the devil if you brush him off as any old thing. The devil is real, evil is real and you need to understand that. Once you understand that you have to understand that the devil will use anything in your life to get to you. Money, relationships, friendships, jobs, strangers, and your thoughts. All of this is fair game to the devil. Even though all of those examples I used are separate, they all tie into your thoughts. Your mind must be stayed on Jesus, your mind must be equipped and protected with the whole Armor of God.

How to protect yourself:

Ephesians 6:10- 18

10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11 Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.13 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. 14 Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15 and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 16 In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17 Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

18 And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.

Verse 18 is a verse that is most important, a verse that I am reminded of during this writing. It is something that we must do every day if we don’t pray anything at all. We have to learn how to pray and give thanks daily. God wants our prayers and praises. He doesn’t just want our concerns and worries. God wants us to come to Him in the happy times just as much if not more than we do in our troubles. Imagine how you would feel after helping someone with something and they don’t say thank you. Doesn’t that just boil your blood at times? You call them ungrateful and for some people, you actually cut them off. We should be happy that God doesn’t cut us off and He gives us many chances to get it right. So be grateful and give God the praises that He so deserves. We must also learn to pray for others more than ourselves as well. Praying for others is a form of love and love is what Jesus commissioned us to do. We must love one another and truly want the best for one another. Job 16:20-21

My intercessor is my friend as my eyes pour out tears to God; on behalf of a man he pleads with God as a man pleads for his friend.

I chose Job because if you know anything about Job, Job was tested by God to display to the devil that we can defeat Spiritual Warfare. Job had everything taking away from him but with his last ounce of faith he resisted the devil. We can defeat the evils of this world because the evil in the Heavens was defeated. If we understand that the battle for our souls was already won and that we have the Victory! John 16:33 “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” God never promised us an easy life but He did promise us a blessed life. You just have to understand what it means to be blessed and allow yourself to be blessed.

One more thing, learn to forgive. The devil loves for use to not forgive others. Unforgiveness is like a disease and it will kill us quicker than the one we supposedly hate or dislike.

The greatest thing you can do for an enemy of yours is to love them and release them.

Book Review: Free To Be Me

Free To Be Me: I Am Not My Issues By Dante Worth, is an inspirational  testimony that will  lift your spirit at every page, leaving you feeling encouraged to be not only better but MORE.  Worth’s vulnerability throughout this book draws the reader in from beginning to end. Each chapter giving an insider’s view of how he overcame his shortcomings, obstacles, and hidden frustrations to arise a VICTOR instead of remaining a VICTIM to his issues.

Free To Be Me- I Am Not My Issues (Book Cover) 3

“There are millions of identity thefts each year that go unreported because no one will file a report on themselves.” -an excerpt from Chapter 4, Esteem Issues:  The Struggle to Fit.  Worth goes on to explain that, us not knowing our true  identity causes us to be distracted from living our purpose. Stating that society’s pressures on us to become someone we are not  brings many of us to a place of depression, further disregarding our purpose. At the ending of  each  chapter, Worth gives examples and teachings of how to become greater than your issues. In the closing of this chapter, Worth says, “It was Jesus who said ‘I  come that you might have life, and that more abundantly.’ Even he wants you to live, so be who you are and live. You are a SOMEBODY!”

This writer believes that the extrinsic value in this inspirational testimony can  move a nation or a soul that has been lost to self-victimization to say the very least. Personally, this testimonial has changed my life for the better. While reading Free To Be Me: I Am Not My Issues, I began to check myself; finding that I too am not my issues.

I recommend this book to any & everyone who is in need of a shift in their spiritual walk with the God of their understanding.

Are You Praying or Are You Worrying?

To some, when they pray, they bring their worries to God but focus too much on their worries. Your prayer should not be one that increases your worry but decreases it. You are to turn your worries into a request!   What are you asking God for, what do you want Him to do? You have to go to Him with one objective and that objective is to find peace in the midst of your storm. If you are worrying to God instead of praying to Him, you can’t feel the peace He has for you and your situation. Worrying doesn’t change anything but prayer truly does.

Philippians 4:6-7

6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

 Matthew 6:27

And which of you by being anxious can add a single hour to his span of life?

 Proverbs 12:25

Anxiety in a man’s heart weighs him down, but a good word makes him glad.
